Kids Yoga Teacher: Sam Isitt, Breathe & Flow Yoga
Leading Edge Childcare Morayfield has weekly Kids Yoga sessions in place every Thursday morning. Sam Isitt the Founder and Principal Kids Yoga Teacher at Breathe & Flow Yoga plans, develops and teaches the weekly Kids Yoga sessions at the centre. The children are calmer, happier and more connected after each class. The Yoga sessions are really popular with the kids, their families and Educators.
Sam teaches the Toddler, Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten rooms at Leading Edge Childcare Morayfield. When Sam enters the rooms at Leading Edge Childcare Morayfield the children light up with excitement. Each class begins with a come together welcome which connects all the children and lets them be seen, heard and valued. His Kids Yoga classes are full of fun, connection, happiness and love.
Kids Yoga & Mindfulness
Sam teaches the children self control through the practice of Yoga. When they are in flight or fight mode, the kids learn how to slow down their busy bodies and minds through yoga poses, breathing techniques and meditation. The children also learn discipline and respect for themselves, their friends and Educators. Patience is a key concept in the classes, where children learn to share with their friends and communicate with each other in a positive manner through non verbal communication, listening skills and my doing yoga poses together.
Yoga is a great way to get kids involved in more physical activity and mindfulness. It teaches children how to be aware of their own body and develop skills such as focus, self confidence, resilience, positivity and relaxation.
We live in such a busy world and it’s important that we take the time to be conscious of our breath and be present. This can help with different situations that arise and challenges that kids face too. Yoga helps kids to think before reacting and gives them tools to feel calm.

Our kids yoga program is linked with the Early Learning Years Framework. Our Kids Yoga sessions help children to develop coordination, self control, discipline and resilience. Each session is play based with creative movement, games, yoga poses, breathing exercises, mindfulness, imagination, dance and music.
Yoga is a great way for families to connect. I often hear from parents about how their children come home from childcare and want to share their new Yoga skills with their mum, dad, brothers and sisters. Yoga helps to connect families through movement, mindfulness and play. It’s a non competitive activity and can be shared with all members of the family.
Kids learn important values such as trust, sharing and teamwork at Yoga. This helps kids to connect with their siblings and family in a positive way.

Founder & Principal Kids Yoga Teacher
Sam works with passion to prepare children for school and life, by teaching specialised Kids Yoga Programs at Early Childhood Centres. He is the Founder and Principal Kids Yoga Teacher at Breathe & Flow Yoga.
Sam is extensively qualified as an Early Childhood Educator and Kids Yoga Teacher. He has completed certification in Kids Yoga Teacher Trainings with world renowned education providers Rainbow Yoga and Zenergy. He also has advanced certification in Kids Yoga, Kids Yoga Therapy and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
Having worked extensively with children of all ages in Early Childhood Education for over 12 years. Sam is an expert when it comes to Kids Yoga, Kids Education and play based learning.
Sam’s students feel happy, calm and connected after his classes. Through his teaching Sam sees all the benefits that kids yoga brings for each child and loves sharing the gift of yoga with them.
