Leading Edge Childcare is excited to be opening our beautifully renovated early learning service in Deception Bay in late 2026, with an expected opening date of early to mid-November 2026.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nominated Supervisor to join our foundation leadership team and play a key role in bringing our vision to life.

Working closely with our experienced Approved Provider and supportive management team, you will be empowered to lead with purpose, develop your team and create an exceptional early learning experience from day one.

As Nominated Supervisor, you will play an integral role in mentoring and inspiring educators to authentically embed the Curiosity Approach throughout the service.
You will help foster a culture of reflective practice, continuous improvement, collaboration and meaningful play-based learning.
About the Role
As our Nominated Supervisor, you will provide strong, visible and hands-on leadership across the service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and supporting a passionate team of educators.
- Building and maintaining a positive, collaborative and professional team culture.
- Working closely with the Approved Provider and management team to deliver high-quality education and care.
- Supporting the successful day-to-day operation of the service.
- Ensuring compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, National Regulations and National Quality Framework.
- Supporting staffing, rosters and educator-to-child ratios.
- Leading and supporting Assessment and Rating preparation and the service’s ongoing Quality Improvement Plan.
- Mentoring educators to implement the Curiosity Approach and create inspiring learning environments.
- Building strong, respectful relationships with children, families and the local community.
- Supporting enrolment, occupancy and operational goals.
- Maintaining an organised and efficient service office while effectively managing competing priorities.
- Meeting operational and compliance deadlines.
About You
We are looking for an inspiring early childhood leader who is confident, organised and genuinely passionate about making a difference.
To be successful, you will have:
- A Diploma in Children’s Services, Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
- Previous leadership experience within a long day care service.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard, Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations.
- Experience leading, mentoring and motivating educators.
- A demonstrated ability to build a positive, respectful and supportive team culture.
- A genuine passion for play-based learning and creating beautiful, inspiring learning environments.
- Experience managing staff rosters and educator-to-child ratios.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Experience with Owna is highly regarded, but not essential.

Centre Cook – Morayfield
Part-Time | Monday to Friday | Family-Owned Centre
An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and experienced Cook to join our team at our family-owned childcare centre in Morayfield.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in creating nutritious, delicious meals for children and enjoys being part of a warm, supportive team. This role is more than simply preparing meals. Our Cook is an important part of our centre community, building relationships with our children, families and educators and helping create positive experiences around food and nutrition.
Our family-owned centre is also supported by an external management team, providing additional professional support and guidance to help you succeed in your role.
About the Role
As our Centre Cook, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and preparing nutritious, high-quality menus for children
- Ensuring allergies, dietary requirements and individual needs are carefully accommodated
- Preparing our daily complimentary parent breakfast, helping us provide a welcoming and convenient start to the day for our families
- Setting up, maintaining and ensuring our parent breakfast station is fully stocked and ready each morning
- Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant kitchen in accordance with food safety regulations and requirements
- Managing kitchen budgets, stock, ordering and meal planning
- Building positive and collaborative relationships with educators, children and families
- Providing weekly cooking experiences for children across different ages and stages of development
- Working alongside families and educators to support individual dietary and nutritional needs
- Contributing positively to the wider centre community and helping us create a warm, welcoming environment for our families
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as a Cook, with experience in an Early Childhood setting highly regarded
- Cookery qualifications and/or a Food Safety Certificate, or willingness to obtain
- A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain
- Confidence in developing nutritious and varied menus
- A strong understanding of food allergies, dietary requirements and safe food preparation
- Experience with budgeting, ordering and stock management
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional, reliable and positive attitude
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

This is a permanent part-time position working Monday to Friday:
Monday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Tuesday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Wednesday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Thursday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm
A 30-minute lunch break applies daily.
